Carolina mostly worked in restaurants in the San Francisco before moving back to the D.C. area to open her restaurant, Cielo Rojo, in Takoma Park. She was born in Chile but grew up in the D.C. area after moving to the US at age 8. She has a restaurant background in bartending, serving, managing FOH & as the Head of Operations for Zesty (a corporate catering start up) for the Bay Area of SF. She opened Cielo Rojo with her (Chef) husband, David Perez. They are in the process of building a larger restaurant and opening a new burrito shop concept in their current location this summer.
