Hola! I'm Maria (Lopez)Maher, born and raised Angeleno. Daughter of Mexican parents, proud mother, wife and boss lady at Candela La Brea since 2009. As owner and operator it is my utmost goal to maintain my mother's family recipes alive while creating a lively atmosphere within our lounge. Candela offers a curated bar menu and a taco bar with over 15 types of tacos; including vegetarian and vegan options. Aside from our full-service restaurant and catering services, our adjacent event space holds private and corporate events of up to 800 guests.
About Me
As a mental health advocate I strive to support and feel supported by other woman who may be fighting similar battles. I am proud that our space has served as a home to many women-focused, non-profit and wellness events. Welcoming and partnering with our community is our thing!
