Monique Caulfield was born and raised in Southern California. As an entrepreneur her focus is on work that builds community. At the age of 19 she founded her first business, Pacific Sensuals Inc., a manufacturing and marketing firm dedicated to socially and environmentally sustainable products. Pacific Sensuals worked with cooperatives in South America and the South Pacific producing Aromatherapy and herbal products. Starting with $5,000 in seed money, she established distribution in nine countries, manufacturing facilities on three continents while also helping to fund the growth of clinics, schools and community programs in the producing locales. In 2000 she co-founded Baron Building and Design West, with Jeff and Danny Baron, a property development company focused on green building, and ran the group’s acquisitions and operations for 5 years. Then she started producing film, including the musical comedy, Basmati Blues staring Brie Larson and Donald Sutherland. Everything changed for Monique when she discovered axe throwing in 2018. From the first night out hitting bullseyes she was hooked, not just on the game, but the culture and positive energy that surrounds it. She immediately dove into creating Mo’s House of Axe. A unique luxury axe throwing concept in the heart of Los Angeles featuring 20 lanes of axe throwing, a full bar and delicious food. Doors opened in February of 2020 only to be closed weeks later for 16 months due to covid but she managed, along with her incredible team, to navigate the challenge and Mo’s reopened July of 2021 and continues to thrive.
