Hi! I'm SueEllen Mancini the owner and creator of Sad Girl Creamery here in Los Angeles. I was originally born and raised in Houston, Texas then moved to Los Angeles to launch my business. I grew up in an immigrant household and was always heavily influenced by my Latinx background. My mother and her family being from Uruguay then my father being from Chile. I try to honor those memories and my love for the diversity of the Latinx culture in my creations through ice cream. On SGC social media platforms I also try to advocate for the conversation around mental health (especially in Latinx and BIPOC communities) by sharing my own experiences with navigating my bi-polar disorder.
