Head Chef and Owner of TTGotCakes LLC, Tyra was born and raised in Pasadena, CA. After graduating with her Bachelor’s Degree from UC Berkeley and working an office job for two years, she was itching to get out from behind a desk and computer, realizing she was meant to spend her day to day creating from the genuine place in her spirit. Since a young age, she found herself very comfortable in the kitchen, thanks to her granny, and in college discovered it was both a creative outlet and stress relief for her. In March 2020, after quitting the office job (unknowingly right before a full-blown pandemic), Tyra decided to take a leap and start up TTGotCakes, a custom luxury cake business. TTGC started in her mother's kitchen and has since grown into a full commercial kitchen based in Glendale where Tyra and her team also put together dynamic events and pop-ups centered around her cake creations. Ultimately, her goal is for “TT’s” to become a franchise, offering more than just baked goodies. But for now, you can catch these cakes all over Los Angeles.
