My name is Ulviyya and I go by Uli. I am originally from Azerbaijan. At 16, frustrated by prospects in my home country, I found a full-time job that paid me $50 a month and gave me free dial-up internet. I used little I had to apply to many colleges in the U.S. until I accepted a full scholarship from the Colorado College in 2001. Fast forward to 2013, in true Liberal Arts fashion, I quit my stable job at an investment management firm in Los Angeles, cashed out my 401(k) and started construction on my first gelateria in Downtown LA. My Downtown facility opened in 2014, followed by my Mid-City store in 2017. My true passion is recipe making. You will often find me tinkering with recipes on my beloved Microsoft Excel. My mission is simple – I want to use the best ingredients available to make delicious frozen treats. Today, despite the setbacks of the Covid-19 pandemic, I still have both of my facilities and my tireless crew and I are working on a more e-commerce friendly website to launch in a few months.
