Growing up with two cultures, America and Peru, I never wanted to lose my Native culture. My indigenous roots made me realize the value of Peruvian superfoods for our wellbeing. As a Latina Kung Fu Artist, I understand even more the health benefits it has on people’s lives. More importantly, the art of cuisine belongs to all the true cooks in my family, the women. Since a child, I have loved cooking, but I always was the apprentice, taking notes of all the medicinal properties of food while my grandmother or mother cooked. Then I got to be blessed with the variety of ways my Tias cooked the same dishes, but with the same basic ingredients. Both my mother and grandmother made sure we nurture and heal our body through food first. This includes our mental state, eat good you feel good.  How many times does a dish bring a feeling of euphoria or joy?  My goal is to have Peruvian superfoods as part of everyone's kitchen. Coaching in healthy living is based on hundreds of years of tradition from the women cooks in my family and my kung fu training.  The natives of both cultures use the same ingredients to build immunity and aid in anti-aging. Peru's superfoods are highly regarded in vegan kitchens and my desire is to make them common use in homes.  All of our sauces are rich in fresh garlic, ginger and Peruvian chilies (not spicy) which are full of antioxidants and help in weight loss. Quinoa, pure cacao and maca are high sources of protein, calcium and iron. The juice of the Inka gods, Chicha is the ultimate youth elixir to keep you strong and motivated to be part of our community.  Salud!
